Celebrate Israel is annual series of events presented by the Simon Family JCC

Tamir Goodman flew in from Israel to give a motivational speech titled How to Dunk with Two Feet on the Ground on Sunday, February 14 at 1:30pm. He also held a drills and skills basketball workshop following the Simon Family JCC event.

Dubbed basketball’s “Jewish Jordan” by Sports Illustrated Magazine, Tamir, a highly sought after motivational speaker and basketball skills coach, has spoken and run clinics all over the world. He was rated among the top 25 high school basketball players, played division 1 ball on an athletic scholarship without playing on Shabbat, and was recruited by Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv. He and his family now live in Israel, and Tamir tells his fascinating story about overcoming adversity on the court and finding the positive in life’s challenges.

Celebrate Israel partnered with Tidewater Jewish Journeys and BBYO to host this event.
