Our CIT program for selected ninth and tenth graders allows teens to gain leadership skills and valuable experience working with children, while enjoying the traditional camp experience. Throughout the summer, CITs will receive training that emphasizes important life skills such as:
• Conflict resolution
• How to be a role model
The opportunity to work with younger campers will help them develop as leaders and prepare them for future roles at camp or in the community. CITs help implement special camp activities as well as work on community service projects throughout the summer. To complete the Counselor in Training interview process, contact Erika Eskenazi at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 757-321-2342.
CITs will also have the opportunity to take part in our camp-wide activities and events, as well as programs designed just for them.
